Listing of a link does not necessarily
imply agreement with the material presented. "In progressu generationis humanae
semper crevit notitia veritatis." - John
Duns Scotus, medieval Franciscan (Free translation: "Truth may shine
more brightly as a result of profound investigation", a noble sentiment
from a Friar Minor whose philosophy concurrently opposed those of
Thomas
Aquinas and Bonaventure ....not to imply that all sites below
are
particularly profound..and a few are courtesy links)
The
Tablet - online edition - Catholic newspaper - not a scholarly work
Vatican
Web Site - unfortunately, links to individual documents keep
changing,
so search for the encyclical Fides et Ratio using their search
engine
(ricerca) , which occasionally works
Why
Spong is Wrong - Anglican refutation of the "New Reformation" of
John
Shelby Spong - a bit inclined to adhominem arguments,
but
an interesting effort
The
Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist - not all material is
solid,
though all has historical significance; references to the Early
Church
Fathers are very worthwhile; the Eucharistic miracles should be judged
with much caution, but have significance for a mediaeval site
EWTN
Library - includes news releases, visual tours of historic
buidings,
and an extensive document search resource. I have great difficulties
with
some of the material in their Question and Answer sections, and include
this link only because of the libraries, which can be helpful in
locating
historical documents.
The
Catholic Encyclopedia - 1917 - much of value, but I offer the link
with the caution that it contains nothing learnt in the twentieth
century
(...and everything from the nineteenth)
The
Holy Rosary - strictly devotional site, in English and Italian
Abundant
Life Ministries - hosted by Baptist ministers the Reverend Joseph
&
Reverend Sharon Chambers A.L.M.W.W.
Index
to Apocrypha - delightful! Note that these are literary, not
scriptural,
works.
